|
Here are some of the standardized Civilian Ships and Government/Milita Craft deck plans used in my campaign Four civilian craft and three government subsidized craft are represented here. The four civilian ships include the Merchant/Courier, Demilitarized Assault Scouts, Armed Trader, and the Gunned Escort. The three government/militia craft include the Tug/Scout, System Defense Gunship, and the SDG Jump Shuttle. Scale is one square=1.5 square meters unless otherwise noted |

Merchant/Courier
HS:3 HP:15 Powerplant: 2 Class A Ion drives Cargo Capacity: 2 (1.5 main hold + 0.5 forward hold) |
| Surplus/Demilitarized Assault Scouts A typical Assault Scout sees 10-15 years of service in the UPF followed by another 10-30 years in a planetary militia (although some militias buy theirs new). After which, these well served craft are stripped down and demilitarized and offered to the public. All armor and weapons are removed along with ship's vehicles. The computer is wiped and reformatted, and the drive program is also purged. Buyers must obtain a new Atomic A drive program to use the existing Atomic drives, which will require an overall and annual maintenance along with fuel. Figure cost at 900,000Cr minus (age+10)%, although typically these vessels are auctioned to the highest bidder. HS:3 HP:15 Powerplant: 2 Class A Atomic Cargo Capacity: 1 * ADF is 4 after drive program is acquired and maintenence is preformed Blueprints at right depict newer version with gravitics |

Tug Scout Borrowing the basic deck plans of a demilitarized Assault Scout, GTFI made a few chages and offered up the Tug/Scout search and rescue craft. With rear firing grapples and a Universal Air Dock these craft can assist disabled spacecraft and get them on their way or tow them to the nearest station. Spacers have nicknamed them "Snub Scouts" due to their shorter fore sections that are designed to "push" disabled craft into docking positions. GTFI AS-4 Tug/Scout Cargo Capacity: 0 * Towing speed is 2, a disabled craft will require a number of Tugs equal to its hull size divided by 3, rounding up (i.e. a size 6 ship requires 2 tugs, a size 8 ship would require 3) |

System Defense Gunship An economically produced warship, the System Defense Gunship allocates more space for armament but less for fuel and navigation equipment, and with jump governors on the main drives restricting it to system ship status. Wartech Incorporated Starships Division SD/G-45 Cargo Capacity: 1 (adaptation of the System Defense Boat from the Traveller RPG) |
